About Us
Since opening our doors in September of 1990, Robin’s Nest Daycare and Preschool has been committed to providing a nurturing, safe environment where all children have exposure to a wide variety of outlets for expression and development. We believe that all children are individuals and learn and develop at their own pace. To support this, Robin’s Nest utilizes a Multi-Sensory approach to education. The Multi-Sensory approach is sensitive to the fact that each child learns through different styles and speeds, some visually, some auditorily and others kinesthetically. By employing all three learning styles we provide children the necessary tools to achieve educational success.

At Robin’s Nest we have programs for children aged infant (6 weeks and up) to after-school (age 12). Our students learn about education, the environment, nutrition, music, dance, art and more. We are a green preschool, and everything from our menu to our cleaning products are organic, fresh, peanut-free and environmentally friendly.

How We Spend Our Day…
Our philosophy is that each student learns at his or her own pace and our curriculum is designed to support that. Our most important goal is that we encourage our students to be active, creative and enthusiastic learners. Students are taught not only educationally, but also on a holistic spectrum that addresses their social, emotional, physical and cognitive needs. We implement sensory integration into all of our programs in order to give our students the tools needed to organize the sensory information that they use in their daily lives, and this allows them to learn at a more in-depth level.

Our Curriculum Identifies Goals in All Areas of Development:

Cognitive: Students are given the tools to become confident learners by building a basic foundation in core areas, such as reading-readiness, language (sign language) and mathematics, through our in-depth educational programs.

Social: Students are taught how to interact with students and staff, feel comfortable in school, trust their new environment, make friends and feel that they are part of the group.

Emotional: Students develop independence and self-control as well as learning to have a positive outlook and attitude towards life.

Physical: By giving our students a variety of indoor and outdoor physical activities, such as yoga, climbing wall, floor exercises, free-play, organized sports, etc. students develop fine and large motor skills.
